Growing up, my father would sometimes travel to Saudi Arabia for business and bring my sister and I gold necklaces with our names written in Arabic calligraphy, hieroglyphics, or a classic initial stamped inside of a heart. I loved them but thought gold was for grown-ups. I was more interested in wearing anything made of string as were most kids my age. I usually wore several friendship bracelet chokers around my neck and my ankles and wrists were covered with friendship bracelets. That was my signature style. I wore them with pride till they became so funky my mother made me cut them off.
Now, I usually like to change my signature necklace every year or so depending on my attitude or style. I discovered the website ALEX AND CHLOE three years ago while I was in Aspen and fell in love with their different charms and pendants.
