Whenever you’re traveling, less is always more. So, it’s always keen to have pieces that can go with almost everything. I brought five pairs of shoes and ended up wearing one pair the entire time during the day. The weather was a bit warm and humid, so sheer and sleeveless pieces were the most ideal. Check out some of the outfits I galavanted around in while I was in Europe.

I usually start to plan my outfits for SXSW months ahead or I’ll wait to the last minute for some. So, the moment I was informed the weather would be cold, wet and rainy, I was pissed. The thought of having to see my favorite bands outside in the cold rain seemed miserable, and Wellie’s certainly wouldn’t go with half of what I packed. So, I did what any girl would do… I packed a suitcase full of shoes just in case the weather let up. To hell with the rain, I’m sticking with my outfits and and will just throw on a jacket and tote around my dome shaped umbrella. Needless to say, after the first few days of the pouring down rain and chilly winds, the weather let up, the sun was out and I was ready to play!

If you have an eccentric style, it’s nothing Austin, Texas hasn’t seen. South by South West also known as SXSW, brings in a plethora of people for it’s Interactive, Film and Music Festival. From the nerds who probably play as LARPs on their day off to the rock bands who’ve made it or are up and coming, fashionistas parading around in the latest trends, to actors looking to promote their next film. The moment 6th street is closed off is the best time for people watching, whether from the side of the street to the top of one of the local bars.

This past month, I had the experience of jury duty. The case went on longer than expected [Days expected: 7]. So, of course my outfits had to accommodate a court room that might as well have been a refrigerator and metal detectors; you couldn’t wear shoes unless they were sneakers, and the only time I wear sneakers is to the gym or running, and chucks just didn’t go with anything.
